Heart triplex

Heart triplex, or transthoracic echocardiogram, is a non-invasive diagnostic test that provides detailed images of the heart. The test is commonly used to diagnose heart valve problems, heart failure, congenital heart defects and heart disease. Heart triplex is a safe and effective tool that provides comprehensive information about the heart and unlike other tests, such as cardiac catheterization or nuclear stress testing, does not require the use of radiation or invasive procedures. The test is also relatively fast and can be performed in an outpatient setting.

How is Heart Triplex performed?

Heart triplex is performed using a portable device called a transducer that sends high-frequency sound waves through the chest. These sound waves bounce off the structures of the heart and create detailed images that appear on a screen. The test is non-invasive and usually takes about 30-60 minutes to complete.
