Hematology Department

The Hematology Department is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of the whole spectrum of benign and malignant hematological diseases.Specifically: diseases of red blood cells (anaemias and erythrocytoses) , white blood cells (leukaemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma and others) , platelets (thrombocytoses, thrombocytoses) and the large chapter of blood coagulation disorders (bleeding tendencies, thrombophilia etc.)

When should you see a haematologist?

When you have abnormal blood test results and/or when you have various symptoms, the most common being fatigue, weakness, fever, sweating, weight loss, bone pain, bruising, bleeding rashes, and swollen lymph nodes.
